Differences between p.s.d and e.s.a

Welcome to The pawsitive adventures

In today's post we will be talking about the differences between psychiatric service dogs and emotional support animals but first before we begin I would like to take a moment and say thank you to everyone in the invisible disabilities service dog group for giving me ideas for my blog ,  I would also like to announce the new podcast I will be doing shortly  called pawsitive adventures it will soon to be streaming on Spotify.

So on today's blog post we will be talking bout psychiatric service dogs and emotional support animals this will most likely be a 2 part topic ,

What are p.s.d?

P.s.d stands for psychiatric service dog , psychiatric service dogs are tasked trained service dog task trained to help their handlers with mental health disabilities such as p.t.s.d, aniexty , and any other mental health disabilities.

What are emotional support animals?

Emotional support animals are animals that are mainly used for comfort and require no specific training all they need is basic command training and to be potty trained

which are allowed in public ?

generally only service dogs are allowed in public under the American Disability Act but each state has different laws so please check with your state first before taking any emotional support animal into a non pet friendly place, per my state that I live in we do not allow Emotional support animals in non pet friendly places

do I need to register my Emotional Support Animal

no, just like service dogs you do not need to register service dogs, but just like service dogs there is scammy fraud websites out there that are not legitimate and will not hold in court if ever needed . the only thing you need just like a service dog is a doctors recommendation letter .
